Regional Sales Manager

Job Description:

The RM has responsibility for fueling sales growth by hiring, training, and coaching assigned independent Reps. The RM will be actively traveling and engaging Reps and key influencers (contractors, engineers, utilities, end users) across the assigned regional territory. The RM will be responsible for driving maximum profit by promoting the value added products and services of CEI, both new and existing.


RM Expected Outcomes:

Meet and/or Exceed Annual Revenue Plans Achieve Regional Revenue budget, Grow 90% of Rep markets, year over year

Execute a minimum of two Rep work weeks per year Define annual revenue expectation for each Rep firm, Maximize Tuesday-Thursday travel schedule of Rep customer/influencer appointments, Conduct a CEI University session (annually), Increase SMART usage to 80% (quoting and literature)

Enhance the independent rep team composed of 90% or more A Players within the next three years (currently about 50%) RM Quartile Reps and develop action plan with Director of Sales and VP to enhance the network, Coordinate 1 key Rep/CEI campus visit to promote deeper partnerships

Develop 2 Key Strategic Accounts/End Users resulting in new revenue for Cambridge within the Region Secure business development activity within each Rep firm, identifying 2 key strategic end user targets, Coordinate corporate support across the US



  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University in a related field; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time
  • HVAC experience preferred 
  • Exceptionally strong telephone and customer service skills
